This is a part of Adsense payment system.In order to check the address of publisher, Google sends a PIN(Personal Identification Number) number via mail at that address.PIN is sent only if you have crossed $10 mark.It is a card with which a number (PIN) is enclosed.This PIN is to be entered in the adsense account.
PIN not received?Generally,PIN reaches your address within 2-3 weeks if you are a US citizen.But,PIN mail takes a lot of time to arrive at your address if you are a NON-US publisher.It may take 3 weeks,4 weeks,5 weeks and even 6 weeks ( I got my PIN mail 53 days after request ),depending upon the postal service in your area.
Here is a simple trick which increases the chances of receiving the PIN on time.
***Check and change your address
If you have not received 1st PIN, follow these steps:
1.Find out the post office where your mails arrive (the one nearest to your address)
2.Let's say the name of post office is "xyz post office".
3.Add "xyz" to your original address like this:
...........address............ ,xyz.
Here are a few more choices available for you:
* If you have not received your PIN on time, you can request a new PIN( adsense account-->payment details-->enter PIN).
* you can request for new PIN 2 times.
* All PINs are same( in case if you receive 1st PIN after requesting 2nd, it does not matter because it contains same number).
*Use the address of someone who has received any kind of stuff from US like Magazines,Cards,Gifts etc.
And last but not least,don't worry if you have not received the PIN mail because Google cares!

I have a query n i hope u will give solution to this. Actually my pin generated date is 14 of this month. But i have changed my address on 15 of this month. I received a message saying that pin is sent to ur address, but that address is my old one. For just one day delay in entering my new address may lead to delay in receiving my pin. For this mistake of mine, i have to send a request to them for pin once again which usually leads to time wastage. And i dont think they might have sent my pin to old address, so is there any other alternative which helps me in receiving my pin in first mail itself to my new address.
Pls pls help me out with a solution. I'll be thankful to u.

Actually same thing had happened with me too.
If you received an email on 14th,saying that the PIN was generated and sent to you, then it will be sent to you on your old address.
The email is in this format-->
"We've recently sent you a Personal Identification Number (PIN) via standard mail. You should expect to receive it within about 2-4 weeks. Once you receive your PIN, you will need to enter it into your account in order to become eligible to receive AdSense payments. To enter your PIN, simply follow the instructions included with your PIN mailer."
You will have to wait till the option "Request a new PIN" appears in your adsense account.Once you request for a new one, you will receive it on new adrress.
Please reply me once you get your PIN.

account balance has already reached more than $10.
Can you tell me that how many days it took for you to enter your tax
information after reaching above $10.
One more thing, will google send us a message to our gmail account
stating that your PIN has been dispatched to your mailing address.

the date it is generated by clicking the Please enter your PIN link on your Payment History page. After your PIN is posted, you should expect it to arrive within 2 to 4 weeks, but it may take longer to reach you depending on the postal service in your area".

Check your payment history.
Click "Enter a PIN" and the page will show you that your PIN has been generated for following address (Your address).The PIN is sent within 3-5 days.Once it is sent, you will receive an email.
The PIN takes a bit more time in India.It may take upto 50 days (depends upon local postal service)

If you are from India,the PIN will take time to reach at the address. You can wait for 2-3 weeks more.If the problem still persists, try the trick mentioned in the post.
Once you enter the PIN, the hold on your payments will be removed.You will receive the cheque once your account balance reaches $100 mark.

I understand your problem.
You have a few options:
1.Find someone who has received any kind of mail from US (like magazines,receipts etc.).Use his address to request for a new PIN.
2.Add the name of post office near your house in your current address (as mentioned in this post).This trick worked for me.

I received already 2 payments from Google but suddenly they stopped showing their ads due to missing account verification!
I couldn't find any place in my AdSense Account to enter the PIN or even requesting it!

1.Google does hold the payments if the publishers have not verified their accounts by entering PIN.
Because you have received the payments twice,it does mean that you have entered the PIN on appropriate time.
2.Please check the "Payment History" page.If you see a note that "your payment is on hold",check the reasons behind it.
If you don't see any such note, you should receive your 3rd payment.
3.If you have never entered PIN, the PIN should arrive within 30 days at your address.

The PIN mail may take time to reach your home.Wait for 2-3 weeks more and if you still haven't got the PIN, use the trick mentioned in this post.Or you can use the address of someone who has received PIN/magazines from USA in the past.

My pin was generated on 3d feb 2009. I didnt recieve my pin yet, and yesterday i changed my address and requested for a second pin. But surprisingly, today i got a mail from google adsense, asking for an id card having my address on it. I sent them my passport(indian) and the pin thing was removed from my account. now i'll request a cheque. hope it helps anyone of u.
